An outstanding line up of activities was kicked off with a special ceremony to mark service achievements of 14 Paiute Palace Casino team members. General Manager, Gloriana M. Bailey, welcomed everyone to the event and presented awards to the recipients for their exemplary service to the casino.

Long service awards for 5 years of dedicated service to the casino were presented to William Centre, Thomas Spoonhunter, Deanna Gustie, Gustavo Paredes, White Dove Kennedy, Ivan Hanson, Jose Benavides, Pablo Flores and Solomon Miller. Service of 10 years was recognized and awards presented to Tenaya Howard and Barbara Keller.

A sizzling Bar-B-Q, catered by Tu-Ka-Novie, began serving guests at 11am, and shortly after the awards ceremony the first of two bands began the live entertainment in the tent situated in the south parking lot of the casino premises.

Harry Casino and the Gamblers had feet tapping and adventurous couples two-stepping to their excellent Country & Western renditions. Another local band, Flashback, belted out their old-time Rock ‘n Roll until the sun set in spectacular Eastern Sierra fashion behind the western ridge.

A near record high temperature of 90 degrees did not deter the kids from taking full advantage of the climbing wall and inflatable obstacle course, all under the watchful eyes of parents, casino security and attendants of the well-maintained equipment supplied by Mobile Rock.

For those 18 or older the action was just as hot inside the casino where the Spin ‘n Win promotion awarded over $2,000 in prizes.  A fierce battle raged in Rock Band Wars and all contestants were winners. The biggest prize of $500 cash was presented to ‘Street’, a hastily assembled band of Players Club members; Joshua Brooks, Andrew Henckels, Debbie Schumacher and Jacob Brooks.  The contest was open to casino guests and team members and everyone rocked the house.
More exciting promotions and special offers will keep gamers entertained in May and tickets for the Memorial Day Cash Whirlwind machine can be earned by carded play throughout the month.  Mule Days will be packed with fun and games and many more opportunities to win great prizes. Bishop Local Wins New Tracker Fishing Boat at the Paiute Palace Casino

It was a fitting end to the fishing opener weekend of 2009 for one Bishop resident when Rosemarie Denver was the winner of the new 2009 Tracker Pro 16 fishing boat, complete with Mercury 25EL motor and trailer on Saturday, April 26th at 9pm

Money accumulated from house banked progressive slot machines that were decommissioned in 2008 was used to fund the “Land the Lady Luck” promotion, the first of a number of exciting promotions this year that will utilize these funds.

Players at the Paiute Palace Casino earned tickets from play on slot machines and tables during March and April for a chance to be selected as a winner.  Three tickets from the “Land the Lady Luck” promotion drum were picked and three lucky ladies, two from Bishop and one from Mammoth Lakes were chosen.  Each was asked to select a playing card from a full deck and Rosemarie pulled a King of Spades that was not beat.

“We love fishing,” said Rosemarie.  She and her family will be on the water as soon as they can and hope to spend many fun hours fishing from the new boat. The runners up each received $200 in cash from the Paiute Palace Casino.

Paiute Palace Casino celebrates July 4th a day early
Wednesday, July 8, 2022

The holiday weekend began with a bang on Thursday, July 3rd, when the Paiute Palace Casino presented an afternoon and evening of fireworks, food and fun.

A traditional barbeque kicked off the festivities at 3pm and served hearty hamburgers and hotdogs until well after 8pm. A live band featuring local group, Flashback, kept the crowd entertained with rock ‘n roll hits for more than 4 hours. Children and adventurous adults enjoyed the rock climbing wall that proved, once again, to be a great attraction. Many citizens sought respite from the hot and breezy afternoon inside the Casino where hourly drawings of $20 gas vouchers for the Paiute Palace Gas Station were given away to lucky winners. Shortly after 9pm the fireworks lit the night sky in a spectacular display of color, noise and light.

“We would like to thank all of the agencies who worked with us to make this event such a great success,” said Gloriana M. Bailey, General Manager of the Paiute Palace Casino.

In planning for the event the Bishop Paiute Tribe Environmental Management Office (EMO) provided the permit for the fireworks show and surveyed the surrounding area for potential hazards. The Tribe’s Community Development Department (CDD) provided a water truck and irrigated the fields and the Paiute Palace Gas Station closed its pumps to minimize any risk of fire. Notwithstanding all the above, the Bishop Fire Department was on hand in the event of any unforeseen incidents.

Other agencies involved were the Inyo County Road Department for the temporary closure of Pa Ha Lane, CalTrans for signage permits along Highway 395, Highway Patrol for traffic management along the 395, the Inyo County Sheriff’s Department and the Bishop Police Department.

A well coordinated team effort in which the departments and officers of the Paiute Palace Casino worked tirelessly to produce an event which was free to the general public and, above all, fun and safe.

July festivities continue at the Paiute Palace Casino with great daily promotions and Players Club members receive many benefits and discounts. The restaurant, Tu-Ka-Novie, has extended summer hours until midnight on Friday and Saturday and 10pm Sunday to Thursday, opening daily at 7am. Only a few weeks after the release of the newest video slot games by IGT (International Game Technology), a world leader in the design and development of gaming machines, the Paiute Palace Casino is currently installing the new eBay™ Video Slots on its casino floor.

Following concept release at the G2E (Global Gaming Expo) event in November last year to product presentation at the recent NIGA (National Indian Gaming Association) Trade Show and Convention in San Diego in April this year, this combination bank of five machines, made up of both eBay™ platforms, Fashion and Collectibles, is part of the IGT MegaJackpots® system.

IGT's MegaJackpots® games have also produced two million-dollar-plus jackpots on the same day on numerous occasions.

“We are always updating and looking for new games so that our floor is state-of-the-art and fun,” says Eric Montoya, Video Games Manager.

The installation of this new eBay™ bank is one of the first in Indian Gaming in California and customers of the Paiute Palace Casino can enjoy this brand new concept in video slots as it rolls out across the country.

“We believe these machines will create great excitement,” says Montoya. “Everybody knows eBay™ and will want to be on eBay™”.

These penny slots boast five vertical, 40-inch, big-screen reels that establish this game's powerful presence and serve to intensify the excitement of the eBay™ Group Play Free Spins bonus.

In the Group Play Free Spins bonus, wins are multiplied based on wagering levels. With MultiWay® wagering in the eBay™ Fashions game, players enjoy 243 ways to win and can wager up to 250 credits per game. The Group Play bonus assures all players involved in the bonus of 10 free spins, good times with the other players and genuine eBay™ excitement.

General Manager, Gloriana Bailey, says, “These new machines are just the latest in our great lineup of high-tech video slots, like the ever popular Wheel of Fortune® machines.”
